CycleFest: Take a Tour of Palatine

CycleFest is part of Palatine's Street Fest activities. Participants will take a causal bicycle ride through the village.

 

CycleFest – 2011 Tour of Palatine will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. CycleFest is part of Palatine’s annual Street Fest, offering a casual fun ride for bicyclists and families through the streets and paths of Palatine.

Participants in CycleFest can ride a 10 mile or 20 mile route.

When:  Saturday Aug. 27, 9 a.m.

Where:  Corner of Smith and Slade Streets, Palatine

What:  10 and 20 mile routes

CycleFest Ride is fully supported including:

  • 10 or 20 mile route
  • Cue Sheet, map and route markings
  • Bike shop support
  • Rest stops with food and beverages
  • Roving support vehicles
  • Helmets required

Registration:   $25.00 Entry Fee

                      8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Towne Square, Smith & Slade Streets, Palatine

CycleFest is a fundraiser for the Greater Palatine Bicycle Task Force, which is dedicated to making our community more bicycle-friendly, safer, more convenient, and more integrated with neighboring communities. Earlier this year Palatine adopted a comprehensive Bike Plan.
