Cold Snap is Here in Palatine, Arlington Heights

Temperatures dropped to 9 degrees overnight Sunday and will stay below 20 degrees through Wednesday, according to The National Weather Service.

The cold snap is here, and will stick around for the next few days. 

Overnight Saturday, temperatures dropped to 9 degrees, and highs are exptected to reach around 18 degrees Sunday with a chance of flurries, according to The National Weather Service. Wind chill values are expected as low as -11 degrees. 

According to The National Weather Service 7-Day Forecast, highs are only expected to reach 8 degrees on Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with blustery conditions and wind chills of -17. On

Tuesday, a high of 9 degrees and a low of 4 degrees is forecasted. Temperatures will climb slightly on Wednesday to 19 degrees during the day but drop back down to 11 degrees overnight.

Thursday, temperatures will climb to a high near 28 with a chance of snow. Snow is expected again Friday, with highs near 25.

Get out those hats, gloves and scarves and bundle up out there!
