1st Annual Palatine Township Senior Center Free Fall Festival a success!

The Palatine Township Senor Center was a busy place on Monday October 1, 2012 from 10:00am-12:00pm for their first annual Fall Festival.  The event highlighted the senior center’s programs and services and showcased our supporters to our members and the Palatine community.

Over 80 older adults enjoyed free donuts and apple cider, blood pressure readings, chair massage, ceramics, senior fitness screenings, chair yoga, quilting, painting, line dancing, Wii sports, senior entitlement screenings and Medicare information.  We sold delicious caramel apples from Morkes Chocolates and over fifty people stayed for lunch at "Our Place Cafe".  We had grateful winners of some fantastic raffle items which were provided by our supporters.

Over twenty businesses were available, offering medical, financial, and legal assistance.  Our supporters participating at our Fall Fest included AgeOptions, Alexian Brothers, American Chartered Bank, BMO Harris Bank, Brandt Financial Concepts, Inc., Comfort Keepers,  Cornerstone National Bank and Trust Company, Edward Jones, Foundation for Wellness Professionals, Friendship Village, Lavelle Law, Ltd., Lutheran Home, HCR-ManorCare, The Moorings, Northwest Community Hospital, Northwest Suburban United Way, Palatine Park District, Palatine Police Department, Palatine Township, Silverado Senior Living, and Whitehall of Deerfield.

Thank you to all of those who volunteered and attended the Fall Festival making it a successful event.
